1. About these terms
These Terms of Service govern your use of Rally at rallyplans.com and its related applications, API, command-line tools and SDK (together, the “Service”). The Service is operated by Keegan Thompson, based in Tennessee, United States (“Rally,” “we,” “us” or “our”). “You” means the person using the Service or, where authorized, the organization they represent.
By creating an account or using the Service after being presented with these terms, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information; it is not a request for consent to every use of that information.
2. Eligibility and your account
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into these terms to use Rally. If you use Rally for an organization, you must have authority to bind it to these terms.
Provide accurate account information and use an email address you control. Protect your email account, sign-in links, sessions and any connection credentials. Do not share access or impersonate someone else. You are responsible for activity you authorize through your account. Contact us promptly if you believe someone has accessed it without permission.
3. Plans, approvals and bookings
Rally helps people propose activities, compare availability and preferences, and agree on shared details. Each participant must join and approve for themselves. An organizer, another participant or an automated tool cannot give someone else’s approval.
Review the exact participants, date, time, time zone, location, price, payment arrangements, cancellation terms and expiry before approving. Changes to material terms or the group require fresh approval. Approval records agreement to the displayed proposal; it does not establish that money was paid or that an outside venue accepted a reservation.
A casual plan is confirmed in Rally when all current participants approve and the organizer confirms it. That status does not reserve a venue or purchase a service. A supplier booking also requires the supplier’s confirmation. A pending or uncertain request is not a confirmed booking, and a pending cancellation is not a completed cancellation. Contact the supplier about outside reservation details when needed.
Examples and environments labeled as simulated are demonstrations. They do not book real inventory or create a real supplier reservation.
4. Payments and cancellations
Rally does not currently collect, hold, process or verify payments. Free activities require no payment. Shared costs, supplier charges, deposits, taxes, refunds and any cancellation fees are arranged outside Rally by the people or suppliers involved. Confirm the recipient, amount, due date and applicable terms before paying.
Cancelling a plan in Rally does not itself cancel a separate agreement, reverse a payment or create a refund. Follow the displayed cancellation terms and the supplier’s own process where applicable. We cannot issue a refund for money paid to another person or supplier. Any future fee charged by Rally will be disclosed before you agree to pay it.
5. Activities and suppliers
Rally provides coordination software. We do not operate the activities, provide transport or supervise participants. You are responsible for deciding whether an activity, venue and other participants are appropriate for you, including checking relevant access requirements, weather, equipment, qualifications and health or safety considerations.
Suppliers are responsible for the accuracy of their offers, availability, prices, cancellation terms and booking evidence, and for providing their services lawfully. A listing or confirmation in Rally is not our endorsement, inspection, insurance or guarantee of a supplier or activity. Separate supplier terms may apply to the service you purchase.
This section does not waive a duty or liability that applicable law places on Rally.
6. Acceptable use
Use Rally lawfully and respect the privacy and choices of other people. Do not:
- Impersonate another person, submit approval on their behalf, or make false offers, confirmations or payment claims.
- Harass, threaten, discriminate unlawfully, send spam, or use the Service for illegal or fraudulent activity.
- Share information you have no right to disclose, including someone else’s private preferences or credentials.
- Access accounts or records without permission, bypass access controls or rate limits, interfere with the Service, or introduce malicious code.
- Extract personal information for unrelated profiling, advertising or resale.
Report suspected misuse or a security issue using the contact details below. Do not include passwords or active sign-in links in your report.
7. Your content and our software
You retain rights you hold in the content you submit. You give Rally a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce and display that content only as needed to operate and maintain the Service, carry out your instructions, and preserve the shared records described in our Privacy Policy. You must have the rights needed to submit it. This license does not authorize selling your content or using it in advertising.
Rally and its licensors retain their rights in the Service, branding and other materials. Subject to these terms, you may use the Service for its intended purpose. Separate license terms included with a software package or third-party component govern that software where applicable.
8. API, CLI, SDK and connected tools
Developer tools may be labeled as previews, have limited availability, or work only in test environments. Documentation or an example does not guarantee a live integration with another platform. Use only access methods and permissions actually enabled for your account, respect rate limits, and protect any credentials.
If a connection feature is enabled, review its requested permissions and the other provider’s terms and privacy practices before authorizing it. You can disconnect an available connection in account controls. Revoking a connection does not undo earlier actions or erase copies already received by the other provider. Participant approval requirements still apply.
9. Suspension and account closure
You may stop using Rally at any time and request account closure through Account settings. Self-service closure requires recent sign-in and resolved active plan or supplier commitments. If a blocker prevents closure, contact us. Statutory privacy requests are handled separately and are not limited by the self-service flow.
We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to address misuse, a security risk, a legal obligation or a material breach of these terms. We will provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue where reasonably practicable, unless doing so would create a risk or be prohibited by law.
Ending access does not cancel obligations to other participants or suppliers. Shared history may remain as described in the Privacy Policy. Terms concerning accrued obligations, content rights needed for retained records, and legal responsibility continue to the extent necessary after access ends.
10. Availability and responsibility
We use reasonable care in providing Rally, but cannot promise uninterrupted or error-free operation, that every group will find a suitable plan, or that another person will carry out their commitments. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or noninfringement.
To the extent permitted by law, Rally is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost business opportunities arising from use of the Service. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Your mandatory consumer rights remain in effect.
11. Changes and applicable law
We may update these terms as the Service or legal requirements change. We will post the revised version and effective date on this page and provide reasonable advance notice of material changes through the Service or your account email, unless an urgent legal or security change requires earlier action. Changes apply prospectively. Where the law requires your agreement, we will obtain it.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee and applicable United States federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. If you are a consumer, this choice does not deprive you of mandatory protections under the law of your place of residence. These terms do not require arbitration or waive your right to participate in a class action. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
